My kids are definitely feeling the valentine spirit! They have enjoyed making valentines for their classmates and teachers and had all kinds of heart-themed items in their bento boxes all week. Here are 3 different lunches in 3 lunchboxes I love:
The Planetbox above features a princess crown cheese sandwich with a heart cut-out. I made this with a Sand*Wishes Lunch Punch. She also has cucumber and tomatoes, strawberries and grapes, M&Ms, and a Chobani Champions yogurt tube.
The Goodbyn Bynto has half of a cheese hoagie (Girlie’s favorite Philadelphia delicacy), strawberries in a red heart cup, cherry jello with a hershey kiss sunk at the bottom (her idea) in a pink heart cup, and ants on a log with golden raisins. She loves jello and was excited to make these valentine treats for herself and her brother.
This EasyLunchbox has a heart-shaped sunbutter and jam sandwich, cheddar cheese cubes in a red heart cup, grapes and apples speared with heart picks in a pink heart cup, a jello/Hershey kiss dessert, and some mixed veggies with a lips pick for decoration.
Valentine’s day is a fun holiday to celebrate with the kids. I was particularly proud of how thoughtful Girlie was with her teacher gift selections and personalized messages. She gets very excited to give a gift and express her appreciation. Here’s a photo I snapped of her working hard over the weekend.
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day with your kids? I’d love any ideas that are good for girls and boys both and that don’t involve too much junk food! Thanks!

Hehe, sorry we couldn’t resist. We’re all for getting crafty and showing your love on Valentine’s day. Girlie sure looks like she’s hard at work on her sweet note. Love it!
Thanks, Elizabeth! She loved all of her valentine lunches this week and she surprised me with a great handmade valentine too! I love that kid.
