Triple Bento Day!

Triple Bento Day!

Little Dude’s class picnic is today and my husband was attending, so I had an extra bento to make.  Normally, if I pack Nate’s lunch, he gets “grown-up” food and it is often in containers that need reheating.  Today, he’s getting what the kids are getting (more or less!).  Here are all 3 EasyLunchBoxes:

It was surprisingly difficult to get all 3 bento lunches in the frame and get the lighting right. It is not my favorite picture ever, but you can get the idea of the line-up and the slight adjustments made to each.  Everyone has crackers, cheese, and mixed fruit (peaches, strawberries, and oranges from our organic produce delivery) with lion bento picks.  Both kids have yogurt with sprinkles.  Girlie and Nate have red bell peppers and carrots.  Girlie also has a little heart container filled with ranch dip for her veggies.  Little dude has pirate booty.  Nate has ham rolled up with bento picks.

I packed the boys’ picnic lunches in the EasyLunchBox Cooler Bag, which easily held their two boxes, silverware, napkins, a juice box, and a bottle of water.   I got the idea from Kelly’s post on her EasyLunchBlog:

You can a lot into an EasyLunchBox Cooler Bag!

I hope the boys enjoyed their bento picnic! I am kind of sad to have missed it, but there was no way for me to escape work for 2 and half hours today.  Our kids still have one more week of school, plus an “interim week” between school and camp.  When does your kids’ school year end?
