Today’s lunches are made using EasyLunchBoxes and an airplane Lunch Punch:
Little Dude’s lunch is on the left side and has a turkey and cheese sandwich with a colby cheese airplane cutout on top. He has popcorn surrounding his sandwich. There are strawberry and banana stack-ups held together by animal bento picks in the fruit compartment and yogurt in the smaller compartment. Girlie also has a turkey and cheese sandwich, but hers is surrounded by carrots and snow peas. She’s got the fruit stack-ups and popcorn in her small compartment. I also packed her a frozen yogurt tube that will be a nice treat by lunchtime.
I am pretty sure this is the first time I have packed popcorn in their lunches. They chose it as a special treat at Trader Joe’s yesterday (on our way home from the beach) and I decided to use it in their lunchboxes. I am interested to hear their reactions.
Our first beach day was a success. Both of the kids loved the ocean and sand. Little Dude could have spent the whole day just shoveling sand into the ocean and my Girlie had a blast with her friends. I can’t believe we have such a beautiful beach only an hour away! I know we are all looking forward to going back soon.
What did you do with the nice weather this weekend (assuming it was nice in your area?)
Here are the products I used in this lunchbox:

Sage really enjoys the water-but second to that is scooping up handfuls of sand to throw in the ocean!
So funny! There were a few times Wes made a face that totally reminded me of Sage at the beach. I’ll text you one in a little while!
And, I have never had a snow pea. Are they like edamame?
What???? In general, we prefer Sugar Snap Peas, but Snow Peas are cool too. You’ll find them in stir fry meals sometimes too. They taste somewhat like Sugar Snap Peas, but they are flatter. Almost like a flat line with little pea bumps inside. Not at all like edamame. We love edamame too, though!
